Increasing life-span by indoor air purification…how to best accomplish this?
I live in Houston (where people often have easily 5 years+ maybe 10+ shorter life expectancy due to poor outdoor air quality) and I want to try and achieve several extra years life expectancy by increasing the air quality inside my condo.
Please try to rate in order of air-purification increase per dollar (assuming no allergic reactions) and explain the best ways to use these methods (including how much, what size…) for a 700 sq. foot condo:
1. Using houseplants to clean the air
2. Using “professional grade” electric-powered HEPA filtration systems
3. Running you A/C fans full-blast with the most expensive standard filters you can buy
4. Buying an oxygen generator (note there have been articles about the dangers of overly pure IE over 60% or so pure oxygen…how do you make sure it doesn’t become too pure?)

use no voc paints beleve it or not the out side air is cleaner than the outside for one your condo is probably not built with green methods and it is gassing off and your huffing it the chemicals they spray in the lawn there is no good which will probably make you ill also your probably drinking water that has weeks long of toxic levels in it and when you vacume you breath air borne contamination from the carpet and the stuff you drag in from work and when you launder your clothes that dont do to much either but you could change what soap you use house plants are a good bet you could filter your air but if you are a smoker your affected by air pollution even more where will all those filters go and its funny we continue to allow sick buildings to be built all in the name of a false serility and false sense of clean not taking the sun into consideration or the way we get the energy that is accuired to power the building and if your car gradge is attached to the building or if you share the same ventilation with others who smoke or use toxic soups of chemicals or vacume window ledges
