What are some good outdoor/adventure jobs?

i am in the army reserve for 2 years and i want a fun civilian job for when i am not in the reserve meetings and i was wondering what some good ones were right now i am thinking of being a raft guide in west virginia for that time but what are some other ones (land jobs)? what do you have to do to be a scuba diving tour guide or leader or something like that?

how do i teach children to jump onto a group of people who will catch them?

i work in a school and want them to improve their social, team-working and problem-solving skills and want them to jump from a great height and to be caught by another group; the classic outdoor and adventure activity but im not sure on progression of this activity. Any Help? and help for other activities in this field?

First of all, they can’t jump from a “great height.” They could get hurt, and the speed of their fall would make it difficult for people to catch them. I recommend having them stand on a table edge, turn around backwards, and fall. The catchers should be two-by-two, facing each other, with their arms paralell to each other. For example, a girl stands facing left with her arms in front of her. The next person faces right with his fingertips next to that persons shoulder, and so on down the line.
The amount of catchers should be based on the height of the person falling.

Woodworking Project Plans for Your Holiday List

Woodworking project plans are fantastic for giving and getting this holiday time of year. They also make a terrific hint as to something you’d love to have as a gift for the holidays or your birthday, anniversary or housewarming, etc. Tuck a set of plans into your honey’s list and they’ll know just what they can do to make you smile.

Detailed plans for a new project are a good present for the woodworker in your life. If there’s a DIY individual on your list they’d love a set of plans for their newest project. Or a project they’ve been dreaming about, but just haven’t gotten to yet or perhaps thought would be too complicated without easy to follow plans. Detailed plans for a project make it so much more doable and may be the inspiration they needed for that new deck or shed or porch swing. When you have a set of project plans laid out for you in easy steps it gives you the confidence to start that project you had been dreaming of.

If you’re the woodworker in the family, some of those project plans can make good gifts to others also. You may be planning to make Aunt Mary a birdhouse, but have only gotten as far as buying the materials before Christmas. Wrap those materials up in a copy of those project plans with a picture to go in their stocking.

Or you may well take into consideration giving a set of plans to a family member or friend as a promise of a project to do together. Perhaps a picnic table for your newly married child’s new property? Or a cradle for a new baby? Or a playhouse or tree house? Not just will you have the final product, but the most important gift will likely be the time you spent together building it.

Is a dog on anyone’s list this year? Plans to construct the new addition a dog house would be a much appreciated gift.

Whether or not you’re giving detailed woodworking project plans to the family woodworker for a project you’d like to have as a gift or to inspire them for undertaking one of their own, or receiving plans as a promise of a future project, woodworking plans can make a terrific present this year. They make a gift that will be unique and be remembered simply because they’re a present from the heart of your time and thought on your part and that, for me, is the bestest part of any gift.
